About Us

Here are reviews from some of our guests who toured with us in 2014, and we thank them very much for taking the time to write as they have:

The tour was everything I wished and way more. I was blown away by the beauty of the Cotswolds and knowledge of the area by Nick. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, I had a great time. I talked up your company to the hotel and all my wife’s coworkers, your information was passed on to all. Take care and I hope to see you all soon for the other parts of the area I didn’t see. Thanks again.

After lots of research prior to our vacation to the Cotswolds & London we decided to hire Nick to handle our Heathrow Airport pickup and transport to Cheltenham, where we began 4 days of touring the Cotswolds and Swansea, Wales. Nick being a Cotswold local knows all the charming backroads away from the busy tour bus routes to explore this lovely area. Our group of five had a fantastic time touring the Cotswold country side with Nick.  Arranging airport pick up and private daily tours is way better than trying to rent a car, driving on the left and not know where your going! Plus the ability to try all the wonderful pints in the historic pubs in the Cotswolds, and not worrying about driving! It was a brilliant trip!

Driving on the left is not difficult, but we appreciate the sentiments!
Our July tour with Nick Long (The Original Cotswolds Travel Co) was FAR MORE then our family of 7 ever expected! Nick's amazing knowledge and obvious love of the area made our day tours of the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds and the stunning city of Bath unforgettable. His suggestions, his desire to take us off the beaten path, his timing to avoid the many tourists, and his willingness to allow us to really make the tour "OUR" tour, allowed us to see and enjoy more in the brief time of our visit then we ever could have done on a bus tour or group tour (or certainly on our own!). I also have to add a big "THANK YOU" to Nicks' driver, Alan, who was so kind and patient. And, also a giant "THANK YOU" to Brian who put up with my endless questions when I first made contact to inquire about the tour and helped arrange for our meet up.
Thank you for making our trip so special. Our Family loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
(A note; My granddaughter sends a BIG HUG to let you how much she LOVED the Cotswold Rare Breed Farm Park! Thank you for the suggestion)

My wife and I came to Gloucestershire to find some of her 16th century roots. We had explored several options that seemed to be in the £1500 range but were not available at the late date we sought to make reservations. The price did not include a knowledgeable guide. Nick was recommended by a B&B my bride located. He was terrific, and performed above and beyond any reasonable expectations. British rail failed us at various times and Nick responded immediately and effectively. His knowledge of the nooks and crannies in the Cotswolds, and alternatives to the beaten track, was remarkable. The two-day trip was terrific and he was deeply knowledgable of the many pieces of history embedded in the beautiful villages and churches in the Cotswolds. There are few places in the world we have not visited, and we reckon Nick to be in the very upper tier for recreational travel.  His charges were very reasonable. We strongly recommend him.
